We were in need of some Suarez family time, so Andy arranged a night stay in the Dells. We stayed at the same place we had enjoyed a few months prior to Annabelle’s arrival, Chula Vista.
This place is great because it has its own indoor water park. The place is huge and has something for children of all ages to enjoy. We spent Saturday afternoon and evening swimming, sliding and splashing! (And unfortunately, I spent a quick five minutes in the First Aid Center after putting a gash in my elbow. But all is healed now!)
Afterward, we had pizza delivered to our room, where we enjoyed our cheesy pies and some “SpongeBob” before crashing for the night.
Sunday began with a lovely buffet breakfast (pictures of Annabelle and Abigail at breakfast included). We then packed up our things and headed to the water park for a few more hours of fun!
Once we were officially worn out, we jumped in the van and began our trip back to Illinois. However, we had one more stop: somewhere around Janesville, we planned on stopping to watch part of the Packers game in Wisconsin.
There is definitely a different energy when one watches a Packers game in Wisconsin among other like-minded fans. And it was so great to give such an opportunity to Abigail. She was so taken aback by all of the other people cheering for her team at the Janesville Applebees, she felt right at home there! It was such a positive experience for her! (pictures included)
